「朗読劇」、「グループリーディング」の魅力
大学の音声学演習やオーラルインタープリテーション(簡単にいえば朗読法)のクラスで学生が燃える活動の一つに、「朗読劇」とか「グループリーディング」(群読といいます)があります。
一つの作品をソロ(一人で)音読、朗読するのではなく、複数で読むことです。一斉に読むパートもあれば、一人で、二人で、3人で読むなど、作品の内容を考えながらメリハリをつけて読むのは楽しいようです。私も学生の時に一番楽しみにしていた活動でしたた。
先月6月11日の毎日更新ブログに載せた This is the house that Jack built. は11で分けて読めるので、最初に手掛けるには最適です。英語の発音を習得するための「音の脱落」なども身について、何しろ楽しい。意味を考えると少々残酷ですが。
実は受講生がこの詩を全部暗記できるようになり、台本も持たずスラスラ言えて、仲間と肩を組んだり、振りをつけたり、素晴らしい出来でした。ビデオにしっかり収録しましたので、何度でも観ることができます。よく頑張りました。Good job!
